YAWC writes ~/.config/yawc/config on first start and re-reads it as it
changes: there is no reload command and no need to log out. It is key = value lines; # starts a comment. Settings edits the same file, keeping the
comments.

Writing a binding. Modifiers are Super, Ctrl, Alt, Shift. Keys
are letters, digits, F1–F12, Up, Down, Left, Right, Space,
Return, Tab, or any xkb keysym name (comma, Home, Delete). A
binding matches the physical key, so it keeps working when the layout
changes. none turns one off.

Windows
| Key | Values | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
window_controls | gestures (default), buttons, windows | gestures hides title bar buttons: right click a title bar to close, double click to maximize. The other two bring classic buttons back. |
keep_above_titles | titles, comma separated | Windows kept on top by title. Wayland has no way for a program to ask; picture-in-picture windows of the common browsers are listed by default. Pinning with the hotkey adds the title here. |
lock_after | minutes, 0 for never | The screen locks after this long without input. 10 by default. It also locks before the computer sleeps. |
restore_windows | true (default), false | Windows left open come back at the next login, in the same places. Each program is started again by its desktop entry. |
animations | true, false | All of the animations below |
popup_animation_ms, geometry_animation_ms, decoration_animation_ms, close_animation_ms | milliseconds | 180, 220, 140, 220 by default |
A window let go against the left or right edge of the screen takes that half; against the top, the whole.
The dock’s edge
| Key | Meaning |
|---|---|
dock_reveal_delay_ms | How long the pointer rests on the bottom edge before the dock comes up |
dock_hide_delay_ms | How long after the pointer leaves it goes |
The bottom edge calls the dock along its middle four fifths; the corners of the screen do not.
Pointer
| Key | Values |
|---|---|
pointer_speed | -1.0 to 1.0 |
pointer_acceleration | adaptive, flat |
natural_scroll, left_handed | true, false |
tap_to_click, touchpad_natural_scroll, disable_while_typing | true, false |
cursor_theme, cursor_size | A theme’s name; pixels. Programs already running keep theirs. |

output.DP-1.y = 0
output.DP-1.scale = 1
output.DP-1.mode = 2560x1440@120
output.HDMI-A-1.enabled = false
| Property | Meaning |
|---|---|
enabled | false turns the output off |
primary | Where new windows go when nothing says otherwise |
x, y | Position on the logical desktop. With either missing, placement is automatic. |
scale | 0.5 to 4.0, fractions allowed |

Settings > Displays writes these; so does set-output on the
control socket.
